Our client is a professional Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology organisation, based in Noord-Brabant Netherlands. Our client is active in biotechnology and develops among other things immunotherapies.

Role description

The Senior Research Associate DSP will participate in the CMC development department which focuses on the development and manufacturing of antibodies for the potential treatment of cancer and inflammatory diseases.

Responsibilities

The Senior Research Associate DSP will lead and execute development experiments in the area of downstream purification. He or she shall be involved in implementing new methodologies to the existing purification platform, process improvement - and process characterization studies and support manufacturing activities.

The Senior Research Associate will be proficient with state-of the art purification techniques and as the DSP subject matter expert work with external manufacturing organizations. He or she has strong knowledge about product characterization assays such as HPLC, cIEF, ELISA, CE-SDS and has experience in risk assessments, control strategies and GMP. He/she ensures high-quality, timely documentation in protocols, electronic laboratory notebooks, technical reports and contributes to regulatory filings.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in biotechnology, biochemistry or life sciences
- Over 5 years of relevant work experience in the field of downstream processing development
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with upstream process development is a plus
- Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills
- Have a good sense for quality, accuracy, and detail
- Be a team player, enthusiastic, pro-active and flexible
